Bluemont Group faced significant challenges in managing inventory and reducing waste across multiple Dunkin’ Donuts locations. Manual ordering processes were inconsistent, and reliance on Just-Baked-On-Demand (JBOD) labor-intensive baking led to overproduction, inefficiency, and increased food waste.

SOLUTION

Bluemont partnered with PreciTaste to implement Do’Cast, an AI-powered demand forecasting tool. Do’Cast integrates comprehensive data sources including historical sales, weather, holidays, and real-time video data from mounted cameras to fuel precise demand predictions. This AI-driven model generates automated order recommendations that optimize inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock of each donut variety throughout the day while minimizing waste. The solution also eliminates the need for JBOD labor by maintaining consistent supply without overproduction.
